Hi dear, it is completely normal for newly purchased Cymbidium bulbs to look dry and shrivelled. They are completely fine and ready to thrive. Ensure the dry bulb is firm and not mushy.
You can plant the bulbs in a well-draining, chunky orchid medium (like fine fir bark, perlite, or coconut husk chips).
Plantation Guide:
1. Bury the bulb only about one-third to one-half deep; leave the top half exposed to air to prevent it from rotting.
2. Keep them warm, humid, and shaded until new growth appears.
3. Keep moisture low. Do not keep the bulb constantly wet, or it will rot.
