Ranunculus Bulbs

The bulbs have a successful germination rate of over 90%.

The ideal sowing season for Ranunculus bulbs in India is from October to November for most plain regions, which allows for blooming in late winter to early spring. In hilly or cooler regions, planting can be done in early spring (February-March) for late summer blooms.

Place the dry, dormant Ranunculus bulbs in a bucket of room temperature water for about 4 hours.

Germinate the bulbs in a well-draining potting mix, plant them about 1-2 inches deep, cover them with about an inch of moist soil and keep the soil consistently moist. A temperature of 10−18°C is ideal for germination.

Plant the bulbs 2-3 inches deep, with the claw-like side facing down. Ensure the soil is rich in organic matter and well-draining.
Choose a location that receives at least 5-6 hours of direct sunlight daily. Water the bulbs thoroughly after planting.

When the plants are in full bloom, showing colour and the center feels soft, like a marshmallow, harvest them in the early morning before the day's heat causes them to wilt.
