The ideal sowing season for Tulip Bulbs in India is from October to November for most plain regions, which allows for blooming in late winter to early spring. In hilly or cooler regions, planting can be done in early spring (November to December) for spring and summer blooms.

choose a location with full to partial sun and well-draining soil, and plant them in the fall with the pointed tip facing up, about 6 inches deep and 5-6 inches apart. Dig a hole, place the bulb with the pointed end up, cover it with soil, and gently tamp it down. Water thoroughly after planting if the soil is dry, and ensure the spot is sheltered from harsh winter winds and excessive moisture. A temperature of 2−7°C is ideal for germination.

Plant the bulbs 6 to 8 inches deep with the claw-like pointed end facing up. Ensure the soil is rich in organic matter and well-draining. Tulips are prone to rot in soggy soil. Select a location that receives at least 5-6 hours of direct sunlight each day. Water the bulbs thoroughly after planting.
